In the Studio - Jumping Around

I apologize for not posting here lately! It's about impossible for me to get any serious time to work with my computer during the holidays, but I'm finally starting to get caught up and I have a couple more posts I plan to put up this week.

Appy Truffle is slowly coming along. I finally got around to ordering some magnets from K&J Magnetics so now this guy attaches to his base magnetically instead of with a peg. Besides the magnets I've been working on various detailing.

This is one of the models I got from the crazy sale Ollie's Bargain Outlet had recently. I bought way more than I should have (I ended up with four American Pharoahs) but I figured I'd probably never find them for $14.99 again!

I've been wanting to do a coon jumping mule for a while now, and this was the perfect body for it. the Ruffian mold's face isn't particularly mule-ish, so I completely sawed off and resculpted the muzzle, along with resculpting the eyes, and, of course, the ears. There's still a lot of sculpting work to do, but this has been a really fun piece to work on so far! I'm still debating on color, but at the moment I'm leaning towards dun with stockings and maybe some other minimal pinto markings.

Lastly, there's this poor little horse. I've always love Independence, and finally found a mini one that was very affordable, for obvious reasons. This is definitely going to be a long-term project! Hopefully I'll be able to do some tutorials following his reconstruction.
