I'm proud to introduce Truffle, my first resin release! Cast in high quality, bright white polyurethane resin, this little horse has tons of details, including a fuzzy winter coat, wrinkles, and veining. While sculpted as a young Trait du Nord gelding, he could also represent a number of other draft breeds or crosses.
Truffle is approximately 3.5 inches tall from ground to eartip counting the base, and approximately 4.5 inches long from tail to forelock.
Since I am casting these myself, I will not be taking any reservations. I will be offering resins only when I have them ready to ship. Truffle will be limited to a one mold run.
Resins are solid and pressure-cast in Smooth-On's Smooth-Cast 310, a high quality, bright white polyurethane resin. Some of the early castings were cast at atmospheric pressure using Smooth-On's Smooth-Cast 300.
They have undergone preliminary prepping, including sprue and flashing removal, as well as filling of any visible bubbles with white epoxy putty. They can be displayed as-is, but will require more prepping before being ready to paint.
The pictures on this page are of a typical production run resin. Click any image to enlarge.
